David Beckham: For The Love Of The Game follows Goldenballs around the world in 10 days

This is what we really wanted for Christmas... David Beckham uninterrupted for 90  minutes (even if he is talking about football).

Well if we can’t have him wrapped up with a big red bow, we’ll make do with this documentary .

So compose yourselves as he guides us on an epic journey to play a match on each of the seven continents.

He joins communities who play the beautiful game in some of the most remote places on the planet, from a refugee camp in Djibouti in Africa to a World Heritage Site in Nepal, where the dad of four skids around in mud with kids for a kickabout.

He boots the ball with tribes in the jungles of Papua New Guinea, meets a team from the Boca Juniors in Buenos Aires, joins the first ever football match in icy Antarctica and even manages a night-time game right at the top of a Miami skyscraper.

Then the former England captain’s journey ends where it all began, Manchester United’s Old Trafford ground, with some fellow football legends. It’s all in aid of UNICEF – for which he’s a goodwill ambassador.
